Egg producer: valuation of facilities for insurance purposes

A major egg producer hires ACCODE to update the values of its damage insurance policies. The scope of the project includes 7 production farms that have approximately 2.5 million laying hens with white and blonde eggs. Each of the farms also has sophisticated automatic equipment for inspection, classification and packaging of the final product.
Our client covers all ranges of eggs on the market, both by egg size and by type of feeding and breeding of laying hens. In this sense, it has the highest quality product corresponding to chickens raised in semi-freedom and that are only fed with organic feed. In order to guarantee maximum quality and food control, our client has two feed factories, one of them dedicated exclusively to the production of organic feed.
Finally, a bio gas production plant from chicken droppings (“chicken manure”) is included in the scope of the project.
